The next two days will be spent taking some friends from Milan on a Manila museum and gallery hop, and I couldn’t be more excited!
I’ll be squeezing in some work in the mornings, but the afternoons will be an adventure in curated creativity and cross-cultural connections. (I obviously love alliterations.)
Given our very limited time frame, plus Manila traffic, the major museums have been limited to Ayala Museum, the National Museum, and the Yuchengco Museum. (Sorry, Lopez Museum–you’re just too far away from where we are! =/)
And thanks to inspiring (and very helpful) friends (idols, actually) from the arts and culture world, the galleries we’ll be visiting will include: Alliançe Francaise de Manille, The Department of Avant-Garde Clichés, the different galleries and shops at LRI Design Center (N. Garcia/Reposo) Manila Contemporary, MO Space, Silverlens Gallery. If I had more time on my hands, I’d also take them to Galeria Duemila (for our Italian guest to meet Duemila owner and curator, Silvana Ancelotti-Diaz) and The Collective on Malugay Street. As it is, though, we won’t be spending more than 45 minutes in each gallery.
In any case, I’ll be sure to chronicle some of our adventures and share them with you here. Just a heads-up though: I’ll be saving some of the juicy stuff for the publications, so please bear with me on this 🙂
Right now, yes, I feel like a Little Rich Girl 🙂
